The forgotten men: Brian Poole and the Tremeloes

Have you seen that the Beatles’ demo tape they produced for Decca has sold for £35,000 ($56,394)?

As missed opportunities go it was a pretty sizable one – although it did enable us to enjoy the “delights” of Brian Poole and the Tremeloes – who Decca chose instead on that day in 1962.

Decca did learn its lesson, however, managing to see the potential of a young group known as the Rolling Stones, who they signed later the same year.

Both the Beatles and the Stones are now in great demand on the collectibles market. You can view our stock here: Beatles/Stones.

And Brian Poole and his pals? You can pick up an autograph on eBay for a tenner.
