Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater blueprints – are you reading this, Brad?

It’s one of the world’s most iconic houses.

Hailed by Time magazine as the architect’s “most beautiful job”, the mansion is also listed in the Smithsonian’s list of 28 places to visit before you die.

Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater is undoubtedly one of the 20th century’s greatest buildings.

Perched above a waterfall in Pennsylvania, its strong lines provide a beautiful contrast to the natural surroundings in which it sits. Even the American Institute of Architects agree with me (and they should know!), after naming the house the “best all-time work of American architecture”.

Wright’s creation also attracts its own celebrity fanbase. Brad Pitt – who could pretty much own any house in the world with his wage packet – is reportedly a massive fan. After an initial attempt to buy the building and subsequently being informed that Fallingwater was not for sale, he received a waterfall from Angelina Jolie for his birthday, to help console him over his tragic loss.

Pitt may not have been able to buy the house, but now he can buy the blueprints.

If you are reading this Brad, PFC Auctions is currently selling a brilliant set of the original shop drawings for Fallingwater, so at least you can copy the design! For those with more modest intentions, the blueprints provide a brilliant piece of memorabilia from America’s best loved building.
