There’s only one thing I enjoy more than sitting down to watch Dad’s Army (see previous post) and that’s having a night-in repeatedly shouting “take the offer!” at the TV.
And while I know Noel Edmonds and co in the Deal or No Deal studio can’t hear me, I just can’t help myself from getting involved.
Such experiences stood me in good stead for the first series of Four Rooms.
It’s the collectibles show that has had everyone scurrying into their attic to unearth that prized Gilbert and George gin bottle or piece of Concorde nose cone squirrelled away for a rainy day.
Engrossing and infuriating in equal measure, every episode has seen me rise from my seat on several occasions to urge the steady stream of deluded consignors to take the money and run.
Four Rooms, more fun than Noel Edmonds?
The programme’s focus on unique collectibles as opposed to the treasures touted on the Antiques Roadshow has opened up the world of alternative investments to a whole new audience.
And the show has just announced that it is looking for people to submit their unique items for the second series.
